Community Programs and Partnerships
Community Commitment
BestBank and its partner company, Shelter Mortgage, share a strong commitment to the communities we serve. We offer a wide range of products and services that provide for homeownership and asset building opportunities for everyone in our communities, including minorities and low- and moderate-income individuals and families.
Education and Partnerships
Financial education is critical to all families and individuals to become self-sufficient in creating a successful future. Through our programs and partnerships with multiple nonprofit organizations, we offer the ability to obtain the information needed to make sound financial decisions.
While providing a variety of loan programs, our partnerships also create the availability of down payment and closing cost assistance to qualified applicants and pre- and post-home purchase counseling and education. Our loan officers work closely with the representatives of many home-counseling providers to identify the best loan program for the applicant.
We have also partnered with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee in offering an Individual Development Account (IDA) program to qualifying individuals interested in developing a savings plan that provides for matching funds in saving for a home purchase or continuing education. This IDA program is part of the United Way of Greater Milwaukee’s Asset Building initiative.
BestBank is a strong supporter of the Get Checking program, a nationwide program offering individuals the opportunity to learn how to properly manage a checking account. Our employees volunteer in the classes by presenting deposit account information and responding to participant questions.
