BestBank is a division of Guaranty Bank, with strong roots in the communities we serve. As a fourth generation, family-owned company, we are committed to providing you with the most convenient products and services available. Joseph Saffro founded our bank in 1923. The first office, known as Guaranty Savings and Loan Association, was located in downtown Milwaukee. At that time, the only two services we were allowed to provide were mortgage loans and savings accounts.
Since then, our organization has grown tremendously. Headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, we have established a strong presence as a well-known community bank. Our strategy of teaming with several leading grocers throughout our market regions has allowed us to place a majority of our branches inside grocery stores. Currently, we have more than 175 federally insured retail branches located in Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Michigan and Georgia. And, with a complete line of checking, savings and loan options – you’ll find everything you need from a bank and much more.
In addition to our retail bank, we have three subsidiary mortgage companies including Shelter Mortgage, which specializes in providing first mortgages nationwide. Our retail branches also offer a variety of consumer loan products including home equity loans and lines of credit. So whether you are a first-time homebuyer or have less than perfect credit, we’ve got our customers covered.
